Procedure for preventing oil spills:
- Select the appropriate size and shape of the mat; if necessary, cut it to the desired length and shape.
- Place the material on the surface of the liquid and let it work. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until the sorption capacity is fully saturated (the fabric takes on a uniform dark color).
- Regenerate the saturated mat. Remove the saturated mat from the surface, fold it, and wring it out. Regeneration by wringing out the mat allows you to: minimize the amount of sorbent used and separate the captured liquid.
- Remove the used mat and store it in a prepared container for hazardous materials
