Procedure for Cleaning Up Oil Spills:
- Sprinkle the material onto the surface of the liquid and allow it to act. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the individual particles of the granules until their sorption capacity is fully saturated (the granules turn dark).
- Once the sorption capacity is saturated, remove the used granules using appropriate tools (such as the REO101 bulk sorbent collector) and place them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
- Saturated granules must be handled in the same manner as the absorbed substance (hazardous waste).
