Procedure for Cleaning Up Oil Spills:
- Select the required quantity and type of absorbent booms.
- Place the absorbent hoses around the spill site, or create a containment barrier in the direction of the spilled liquid’s flow, ensuring that the ends of the hoses overlap each other. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the absorbent hoses until their sorption capacity is fully saturated (the packaging turns a uniform dark color).
- Replace the hoses once they are fully saturated. After removing the spilled liquid, collect the used hoses and place them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
