Procedure for cleaning up petroleum spills:
- Place the material on the oil spill and let it work. The liquid is quickly absorbed into the fabric until the sorbent reaches full saturation (the fabric takes on a uniform dark color).
- Regenerate the saturated mats. Remove the saturated mats from the surface, fold them, and wring them out. Regeneration by wringing out allows you to: - minimize the amount of sorbent used - separate the absorbed liquid.
- Replace the mats if they are completely saturated or if the material is damaged during wringing. Remove the used mats and place them in a prepared container for hazardous materials.
Dispose of the used material in accordance with applicable regulations!
