Filter Cleaning Instructions:
Cleaning the nylon filter in the top lid of your IBC container is crucial to maintaining its optimal performance and effective liquid filtration. The following procedure will show you how to properly clean it:
Remove the inlet pipe to the top lid of the tank and unscrew the lid. Carefully remove the lid including the nylon filter, which may be clogged with debris.
After removing the top lid of the tank, remove the nylon filter from its location in the center hole. Remove it carefully so as not to damage it.
If the nylon filter is heavily clogged with debris, you can first pre-clean the coarse debris by hand or with a brush. This will reduce the strain on the deeper cleaning.
Prepare a container of warm water and let the nylon filter soak in it. The warm water will help loosen deposits and debris.
Gently shake and clean the nylon filter in the warm water. You can use a mild detergent or soap if necessary, but avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the filter.
Rinse the filter thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt and cleaning agent residue.
Once the nylon filter is completely clean, place it back in its original location in the central hole of the top lid of the tank.
Screw the top lid with the filter back onto the top hole of the tank and reattach the inlet pipe.
We recommend that you regularly check the condition of the nylon filter and clean it at regular intervals as needed. Keeping the filter clean will ensure that it continues to effectively capture dirt and extend its life.
