60 liter metal barrels are used mainly in the chemical and petrochemical industries for the transportation and storage of the most aggressive chemicals. The metal barrel serves as a strength wrapping and the inner HDPE plastic insert then as an inner wrapper resistant to most aggressive substances. Steel drums with internal plastic inserts are supplied with UN certification and are therefore suitable for the transport of hazardous substances according to ADR, IATA-DGR or IMDG regulations.
